Our sweet ray of sunshine is one year old (actually 14 months, but who’s really keeping track). I was looking through old blogs this morning and realized I never wrote a blog celebrating our sweet sunshiney gal turning one!

Reya truly is just a bright light in our family. She has the sparkliest eyes and will smile at just about anyone. She is deeply loved by our whole family. Currently, Hezzy and her share a room and Hezzy loves to sing to her if she wakes up a little sad (it may be the ABC’s over and over again at borderline yelling volume, but its the thought that counts, right?).

She loves bananas and will chant “nana” until she gets one, she also will now growl if you’re eating something that she wants. She still loves her milk, and most fruits. She will throw any food on her tray she doesn’t want immediately to the ground. She is figuring out how to crawl off of her belly, but when she wants to go real fast (turbo mode) she still goes back to her army crawl. She is pulling herself up more and more, and loves to bug her brother and sister if they’re watching a movie. She loves to go “bye-bye”, and gets really sad if someone leaves without her. She’s starting to get a little bit more weary of being dropped off places, but still warms up pretty quickly. Her favorite toys are our TV remote, my glasses and the kitchen towels (more specifically, pulling them down as soon as I rehang them).

She is sassy and sweet and we love her so much. Reya, I pray you grow up to know just how loved you are. You are fearfully and wonderfully made and the Lord has prepared good works for you. You were made with purpose, and I pray that as me and your dad raise you, we would raise you to be kind & caring. You are so sweet, and we love you so. We can’t wait to see your personality develop.
